Getting the workshop ‘Thermally Moisture Efficient’.
I.E. Moving away from the damp and the mould, fixing and clearing walls where possible, getting ready for a lining, frame and board. 6 month project to get it fully finished as a working space for all the things I like to do, this is an important step in getting the space working efficiently and productively.
Six Stern, No Nonsence Looks that actually know the truth.
Six shades split Twice.
On a uniquly distressed neautral back.
Win, Whats all the distraction for!
Get out but not really yet at the moment.
Sort of if you like maybe next tomorrow.
6. When it gets so stupid it’s laughable, stop, re-group, focus on the important points.
This years pretty lady piece, Dita Von Tease, another one that when I saw the picture I thought about the placement on the canvas more than anything.
Was very tempted to do a cross behind, maybe in a subsequent spraying.
Also one of only two where I have started with a black background and it works really well with the colour tone.
The little bit of under spray probably actually helps it come off the black a little, I don’t think it spoils it at least.
Delving into the whole pop art / political opinion arena whilst also creating a portrait of one of the UK’s (and the world’s) best actor’s, Sir Michael Caine.
I have a lot of respect for what this gentleman has to say about recent event’s in the UK, it’s not about race, religion or origin, it’s about a country being able to make its own decisions about what it does, funds, law’s, let’s in, let’s out.
It’s very rare that I do personnel opinion work and share it publically here but I just couldn’t bite my tounge on this one.
When I saw this photo of Clevedon Pier I immediately loved the symmetry especially after thinking of the idea of putting it on a square canvas. Also tried an idea that has been brewing to play with and separate the colour tone’s into two.
2 layers for the sky
5 layers for the pier
51cm x 51cm canvas
The Monnow River run’s right through, We are not a place without it.
2 months of nearly solid 6 day’s a week cutting out card to produce this piece.
A Photo that I took a few years ago that has been Digitally Modified , Printed onto Paper, Trimmed and stuck down onto 4 A0 Layers of heavy weight card, Then hand drawn and hand cut and aerosol sprayed one at a time to create a River Scene that is just down the road.
Not that many layers involved in this one but a stink load of detail on layers 2, 3 and 4. Thought it worth documenting.
